APPLE CRISP BARS 
28 Kraft caramels
2 tbsp. water
1 1/3 c. plus 3 tbsp. flour (keep separate)
1 c. old fashion or quick oats, uncooked
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
3 c. chopped, peeled apples

Melt caramels with water in heavy sauce pan over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth. Combine 1 1/3 cups flour, oats, sugar, baking soda and salt; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Reserve 1 cup mixture. Press remaining crumb mixture into bottom of 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Combine apples and 3 tablespoons flour, mix well. Spoon over crust. Drizzle caramel mixture evenly over apples. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Continue baking 30 minutes. Cool; cut into bars. Makes 2 dozen. Yummy!
