CANDIED CHERRIES 
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. white syrup
1/4 c. cherry juice
1 c. cherries, pitted, drained

Cook sugar, syrup and cherry juice until it forms firm ball in cold water. Add cherries and simmer gently until juice forms firm ball in water. Remove cherries from juice and drain on platter for a few minutes; place on wax paper.
