1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sour dough starter (see recipe)
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda

CINNAMON SUGAR:

1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cream together butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, starter and flour. Add salt, baking powder and baking soda to creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet.

Sprinkle tops with cinnamon and sugar mix.

Bake at 350°F for 12 minutes.

Makes 4 dozen cookies.
