1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. soured milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together sugar, shortening, and eggs. Combine nutmeg, salt, and flour in another bowl. Stir soda into milk. Alternate milk mixture and dry mixture into sugar mixture, mixing well. Add vanilla, mix.

Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie tin. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes (will be cake like texture).
