ELSA'S RHUBARB COFFEE CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed 1/2 c. shortening (or part butter) 1 egg 1 c. sour milk 2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 2 c. sliced rhubarb 1/2 c. sugar 2 tsp. cinnamon Blend sugar and shortening; add egg. Alternate milk with flour, salt, and baking soda; add rhubarb. Place in greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until tests done. |
