SILVER DOLLAR SUGAR COOKIES 
1 scant c. Crisco oil
2 sticks butter (butter)
1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 beaten eggs
1 scant tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. lemon extract

Blend and beat well together, then add 4 1/2 cups flour. Chill 1 hour. Make into balls, size of walnut. Roll in sugar and flatten with bottom of glass greased and dipped in sugar. If dough is too still to mix well, add 1 tablespoon cold water. These can be mixed the night before and chilled overnight. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
