1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Mix in the order given. Roll in teaspoon size balls, lay on cookie sheet and press down slightly with sugared glass. Bake at 300 degrees until slightly browned.
