1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour (generous)
1/2 tsp. salt

Chill batter. Form dough into small balls and press down with a glass that has been dipped in sugar. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
