WORLD'S GREATEST OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. wheat germ
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 c. coconut
3 1/2 - 4 c. oatmeal

Combine oil and sugar, then add eggs, flour, salt, baking soda, and vanilla. Mix well. Add coconut, pecans, wheat germ and oatmeal (add oatmeal gradually) to make soft dough. Spray cookie sheet with Pam and drop rounded teaspoons of dough onto the cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees (for chewy cookies, bake 10 minutes, for crisp cookies, bake 12 minutes). Let cool for a few minutes before taking the cookies off the cookie sheet. Cool thoroughly before storing in an airtight container.
