JULIA'S FAVORITES - RAISIN
OATMEAL COOKIES
 
1 c. light oil
2/3 c. barley malt
1/2 c. honey
2 tsp. vanilla
2 lg. eggs
1 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. sunflower seeds
1 1/4 c. raisins
1 c. wheat germ
1/2 c. non instant milk powder
1 1/4 c. whole wheat pastry flour
2 c. rolled oats

First cream the wet ingredients together, and then add the premixed dry ingredients. Stir until the dry stuff disappears. Add a little water, if necessary so that the cookies drop off your spoon onto the cookie sheets with ease. They will spread some on the trays, so leave room for them to grow. Makes 40 (2 1/2 inch) drops.
