SCOTCH SHORTBREAD 
1 c. soft butter
3/4 c. granulated sugar
2 1/2 c. flour

Mix ingredients in order until it becomes smooth dough. Chill thoroughly. Roll out on floured board to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into desired shape.

Place on ungreased cooking sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes or until slightly brown.
