CORN FRITTERS | |
1 3/4 c. sifted flour 2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. salt 3/4 c. milk 1 can whole corn or fresh corn 1 egg, beaten 1 tbsp. melted shortening Measure and sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Combine milk, corn, egg beaten and shortening. Add to dry ingredients, blending well. Drop by spoonful into deep hot oil. Fry for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown, turning to cook on both sides. Drain on paper towels. |
