TEXAS TORNADO CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. fruit cocktail, include syrup
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. all purpose flour
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped pecans

ICING:

1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1/3 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. flaked coconut

Mix together sugar, eggs, fruit cocktail, soda and flour. Pour into greased 9"x13" baking pan. Combine brown sugar and nuts. Sprinkle over batter and bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.

ICING: Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spoon over warm cake to allow cake to absorb most of the icing. Cool and cut into squares.
