BREAKFAST CASSEROLE 
A great recipe for weekend quests. Just made ahead, cover and refrigerate until baking time.

4 slices white bread
1 lb. bulk sausage meat
1/2 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese
6 eggs, or the equivalent in egg substitutes
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Tear bread and place in 13 x 9 x 2-inch greased baking dish. Brown sausage in skillet, drain and spoon over bread. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Beat eggs with milk, salt and pepper. Pour over mixture in baking dish. Bake 35 to 40 minutes. (The cheese will rise to the top during baking.)

I frequently use ready-to-serve sausage or I precook bacon.
