TEXAS BROWNIES 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. strong brewed coffee
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

In saucepan combine butter, shortening, coffee and cocoa. Stir and heat to boiling. Pour over flour and sugar in bowl. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla. Mix on high speed in electric mixer. Pour into greased jelly roll pan, 11 x 17 1/2 inches. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Pour warm frosting over brownies as you take them from oven.

FROSTING:

1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 c. milk

Heat above to boiling. Mix in 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
