SWISS STEAK 
1 1/2 lbs. round steak, cut into serving pieces
3/4 c. flour
Salt and pepper to taste
2 med. onions, sliced thin
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 (4 oz.) can of mushroom stems and pieces
1/2 soup can of milk

Cover steak with flour to which you have added salt and pepper to taste. Pound with edge of plate. Fry in 1/4 cup butter until brown on both sides. Transfer into baking dish. Add mushrooms and onions to pan and saute until onions are clear and tender, layer on meat. Place soup and milk in frying pan and simmer to get brownings loose. Pour over meat, onion, and mushroom mix. Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 300 degrees.
