| EASY CHOCOLATE CAKE MIX COOKIES | |

1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix 1/2 c. raisins (opt.) 1/2 c. chopped pecans (opt.) 1/2 c. rolled oats 1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 c. butter, melted 2 eggs, slightly beaten Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients in large bowl and blend well. On ungreased cookie sheet, drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough 2" apart. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool 1 minute. Enjoy. Makes about 6 dozen cookies. | |

I usually make my own chocolate cookies but I didn't have any lard. I was looking for a chocolate cookie that used butter and found this. This was so easy and so good. My first experience with making cookies from cake mix. I'm going to make another batch later today.

After trying one flavor, I went crazy with more cookies. Strawberry cake mix thumb prints with strawberry preserves. Chocolate thumb prints add cherry jam or just add crushed peppermints.
