NUTTY YAM BAKE 
3 lg. sweet potatoes or yams
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. milk
2 eggs

Cook potatoes in boiling water until tender. Drain well. Mash while hot. Add sugar, butter, spices and mix well. Beat in eggs and milk. Put in 3 quart casserole.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Combine above ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over potato mixture and bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.

I don't really care for yams at all, so when I find a recipe that I would eat and recommend I must give a good review! My family loves this one as well! 2nds and 3rds are a must!

This recipe is absolutely delicious - so delicious that it got me eating yams. I did however use chopped pecans instead. Also, I used a 13 x 9 glass dish so that there could be more surface area for the nutty crumbly topping.
