BUTTER CRUNCH COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 med. sized whole egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter; add sugar, vanilla and egg. Beat until light. Add dry sifted ingredients and walnuts. Drop by teaspoonsful onto cookie baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 6 minutes. Cool a few minutes. Remove from pan to wire racks.
