1 c. butter
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. M & M's
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Beat together butter and sugar until fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Mix together dry ingredients and add. Mix well. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes until golden brown. Press three M & M's on top of each cookie and cool. Makes 5 dozen.
