POPCORN BALLS 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. white Karo
1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. water
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. vanilla
3 qts. unseasoned popcorn

Put sugar, corn syrup, water and salt in saucepan and cook, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Continue cooking without stirring until syrup forms a brittle ball in cold water. Add vanilla and stir only enough to mix it through the syrup. Pour over the popped corn in a large bowl and mix well. Wet hands slightly and shape into balls. (This recipe makes about 12 popcorn balls or 1 popcorn cake).
