CINNAMON RAISIN BARS 
1/4 c. soft shortening
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream first 3 ingredients together. Sift together all other ingredients. Add dry ingredients alternately with 1/2 cup HOT strong coffee. Stir well.

Blend in:

1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Place in greased 13 x 9 inch oblong pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. While still slightly warm frost with thin powdered icing sugar. Cut into about 2 dozen bars.
