POTATO BROCCOLI BAKE | |
2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/8 tsp. nutmeg 2 c. milk 1 (3 oz.) cream cheese, cubed 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese 4 c. frozen hash browns 1 (10 oz.) pkg. chopped broccoli 1/4 c. bread crumbs 1 tbsp. butter, melted Melt butter. Blend in flour and seasonings. Add milk. Cook and stir until thickened. Add cheeses. Stir until melted. Stir in potatoes. Put 1/2 of mixture into 9 x 13 inch casserole dish. Top with broccoli. Put the remainder of potato mixture on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Mix bread crumbs and butter. Sprinkle around edges of casserole. Bake 10-15 minutes more. Serves 8. |
