4 1/2 c. sugar
1 lg. can evaporated milk
2 sticks butter
1 (8 oz.) chocolate chips
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. nuts, broken

Bring sugar and milk to a boil, stirring constantly for 10 minutes. Combine butter and chocolate chips in large saucepan. Add to boiling sugar mixture. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into 8 x 10 pan.
