CHOCOLATE CHIP APPLE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/2 cup water
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. fresh sliced, peeled apples
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. walnuts

TOPPING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. walnuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and water. Add dry ingredients to cream mixture. Fold in apples, chocolate chips and walnuts. Pour into 13x9 pan. Mix topping and sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
