1 box cake mix (I use French vanilla or cinnamon)
2 to 3 apples
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. cinnamon
1 can prepared icing (vanilla)

OPTIONAL:

chopped walnuts
dark chocolate chips
sprinkles or jimmies
crushed up Butterfingers (yum!)

Cut up 2-3 apples into little chunks, you can peel them or just wash them. Mix a small bowl of flour and cinnamon combined (couple tablespoons of each). Toss the apples in the flour mixture-this prevents them from sinking to the bottom.

Prepare the cake mix as directed on the box. Pour it into the pan. Spread the apples evenly over the cake mix.

Bake according to directions on the box.

Add some cinnamon or cinnamon sugar to your icing and stir in well. Once the cake is cooled, ice it and top with whatever you like.
