CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. self-rising flour
2 1/2 c. oatmeal
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 oz. Hershey chocolate bar, chopped
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Set aside.

Grind oatmeal in a food processor or blender until semi-fine. Alternate adding flour and oatmeal to creamed butter and sugar mixture. By hand, stir in chocolate chips, Hershey bar and pecans.

Form mixture into golf-ball sized balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 6-10 minutes or until light brown. Makes approximately 4-5 dozen, depending on size.
