MICROWAVE CARAMEL POPCORN 
5 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. corn syrup
1/2 c. unpopped popcorn
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. baking soda

Pop the batch of popcorn. In a large plastic mixing bowl combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, salt and vanilla. Mix. Cook at full power for 2 to 3 minutes. Mixture should be bubbly hot. Add baking soda. The syrup will turn a lighter color and become foamy. Mix in popcorn stir well. Pour out onto tin foil and cool. Break into smaller pieces and enjoy.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
