CARAMEL POPCORN IN A PAPER BAG MICROWAVE | |
3 qts. popped corn 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. butter 1/4 c. white syrup 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda Put popped corn in a large grocery bag (DO NOT USE recycled paper). Combine sugar, butter, syrup, and salt in a 1 quart dish suitable for the microwave. Cook uncovered mixture on HIGH for two minutes. Stir. Cook two more minutes on HIGH. Stir in baking soda. Pour brown sugar mixture over popcorn in paper bag. Close bag and shake. Roll down bag to fit in the microwave. Cook 1 1/2 minutes on HIGH. Remove bag and shake. Cook 1 1/2 minutes on HIGH again. Remove and shake. Cook for 45 seconds more on HIGH. Remove bag and pour into bowl to cool. Eat and enjoy! |
