4 egg yolks 2 whole eggs 2 1/2 tbsp. powdered sugar 2 tbsp. oil 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. flour Make a nest of the flour in a bowl. Add eggs, powdered sugar, oil and vanilla. Beat the ingredients while slowly adding flour from the sides of flour nest. Add enough flour to make a dough softer than for noodles. Roll about 1/8" thick. Cut into 10" lengths, 1 1/2" wide. Tie each strip in single knot or sizes and shapes you want. Deep fry in hot oil until golden, turning once. Dust with powdered sugar. Can also be dipped in slowly boiling water and honey (1 pint honey and 1 1/4 cups water). Drain in colander or place on waxed paper. |
