FERN'S SAUERKRAUT CAKE | |
2 1/4 c. flour 1 tbsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. cocoa 1/2 c. sugar 2/3 c. shortening 1 1/4 tsp. vanilla 3 eggs 1 c. water 1/4 c. washed and drained sauerkraut Sift flour and measure. Sift again with next 4 ingredients. Cream sugar, shortening. Add vanilla. Add eggs one at a time. Beat well. Add dry ingredients, alternate with water. Beat until smooth. Stir in sauerkraut. Mix thoroughly. Bake at 375, 35 minutes. |
