BEST PRESSURE COOKER SWISS STEAK | |
1 1/2 lbs. sliced rump or bottom round beef 3 tbsp. olive oil 1 large minced Vidalia onion 1 tsp. minced elephant garlic 1 tbsp. minced fresh horseradish 1 pkg. Lipton Beefy Onion Soup Mix 1 1/2 cups beef broth 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce 1 1/2 cups flour 1 1/2 tbsp. corn starch salt and pepper to taste Put oil in pressure cooker and set to browning function. Dredge beef slices in flour and brown both sides. Set aside. Sauté onion, garlic, and horseradish using browning function until onions are translucent and remove. Place 2 slices of beef side by side in pressure cooker. Top each with 1 tablespoon sautéed onion mixture. Layer remaining slices of beef and onion mix. Pour beef broth, tomato sauce and any remaining onion mixture around beef. Cook at high pressure for 25 minutes. When finished, open cooker and immediately stir corn starch mixed with 1/4 cup cold water into gravy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Enjoy!
