APPLE CRISP DESSERT 
6 - 8 med. tart sliced apples (Granny Smith)
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter

Mix together sugar, flour and cinnamon. Place in a well - buttered 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish.

TOPPING:

1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lg. egg, slightly beaten

Mix sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in bowl. Stir to mix. Make a well in center and put in egg. Fork together briskly until crumbly. Scatter topping over apples. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until bubbly. Serve warm.
