1 coconut Rosemary Grate coconut, add 2 cups of warm water. Squeeze milk from coconut. Put in pot and boil until it becomes oil. Put oil in a bottle and add rosemary to it. This remedy is good for head and chest colds. Put some on your head and rub. Then rub some on your chest and back. Do this only at night before going to bed. FOR STRAINS AND SPRAINS: Place brown paper which has been soaked in white vinegar, over the affected area. BELLY ACHE, BLOOD CLEANSER (AND ALMOST ANYTHING THAT AILS YA!) : Cerasi tea. BELLY ACHE: Ginger tea. ALLERGIES OF THE STOMACH, SINUSES, AND SKIN: Castor oil in juice or water, taken on an empty stomach. GALLSTONES: 1. Chamomile tea helps to dissolve them. 2. Equal amounts of olive oil mixed with fresh lemon or grapefruit juice, taken at bedtime, must be well mixed. Drink this mixture straight down. Next morning, drink something hot. This is to help to pass the gallstones. CHEST CONGESTION: Clear onion soup. VARICOSE VEINS: Apply fresh comfrey leaves to the veins. BED SORES OR ULCERS: Pack area with honey or granulated sugar, cover with very thick, airtight bandage. BOILS OR ABSCESSES, CYSTS: Boil cornmeal, mix in a little healing oil, make a poultice, place over the area while it's warm. This will bring the boil, abscess or cyst to a head. HEADACHES: Heart of banana leaf, softened over a flame or pot of hot water. Place the back of the leaf on the head, tie on with a cloth. RHEUMATISM: 1 or 2 cloves of garlic pounded with honey. Take it for 2 or 3 consecutive nights. FEVER: Soak cayenne pods in hot water, add sugar and the juice of sour oranges. Drink freely. INSECT STINGS: Raw onion slices, apply to the area. BRUISE OR SPRAIN: Poultice of chopped onions placed on the affected area. HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE: White periwinkle tea, aloe vera juice, or garlic tea. FOR FEVER: Red onions and white potatoes tied to the bottom of the feet. FOR COUGHS DUE TO EXCESS MUCOUS IN THE SYSTEM: Drink 1 cup of horehound tea, three times a day until cough subsides. INDUCING SLEEP: Peppermint oil combined with Epsom salt added to a hot bath is excellent for inducing sleep when the mind is troubled and unable to relax. FOR A FACIAL: Separate the egg white and apply it to your clean face; let it dry until skin feels tight, and wash off with cool water. When a child is crying uncontrollably, give them a bath; water soothes the troubled spirit. |
