EASY COBBLER 
1 stick butter
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
any fruit (see below)

I have used 1 pkg. frozen blackberries, 3 c. fresh, blackberries, peaches or apples. Fresh fruit is always peeled, sliced and simmered in a pan with a pad of butter for just a few minutes (just to make them a little soft). No water necessary, fruit will produce its own.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt stick of butter in 9 x 13-inch glass dish while oven is preheating. Mix together flour, sugar and milk. Pour fruit into melted butter. Pour batter into center of fruit - do NOT mix together (batter will rise through fruit while cooking).

Bake 30 - 45 minutes until crust is golden brown.

Serves 6.
