This is almost the recipe I use, except that I ad 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract to each layer. I also bake it a little faster, 350°F for 45 minutes. It's always a hit.

Only had an hour or so notice that company was coming, so I made the Neiman-Marcus Brownies, because I had everything on hand. Served them a lil' warm. OH BOY!!!! WHAT A HIT!!!! I WILL be making these again (as will all my company), because EVERYONE requested the recipe!

I love this recipe! The first time I made it, I brought these brownies to work (to the delight of my Boss) he absolutely loved them. I am making a batch today, and plan to bring them to work with me tomorrow. I know for sure if I make these and give some to my Boss he is 100 times more pleasant to deal with. Something about brownies puts most people in a better mood, especially at work!

Loved, loved, loved this recipe. I didn't change a thing. Baking @ 300°F though took my oven a lot longer than the 55 minutes, so will probably try what a previous viewer said and raise the temp. to 350°F for 45 minutes. These brownies stayed good enough to eat for 1 week, since it's only my hubby and myself. Definitely a keeper.

Love this recipe. I make it a little bit differently as I add two squares of Baker's Semi Sweet Chocolate. It isn't a brownie without chocolate.
