OLD FASHIONED BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. All-Bran cereal
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. molasses
1 egg
1/4 c. soft shortening
1/2 c. raisins
1 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

1. Combine bran, milk and molasses. Stir and let stand until almost all milk is absorbed by cereal.

2. Add egg and shortening. Beat well. Stir in raisins.

3. Sift all dry ingredients. Add to bran mixture. Stir only until mixed.

4. Pour into greased muffin tins 3/4 full.

5. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Makes 12 medium muffins.
