1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. crushed, drained pineapple (sm. can)
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together shortening, egg and brown sugar. Add pineapple. Sift together and add the flour, salt and baking powder. Add nuts and vanilla. Mix well and drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Glaze if desired.
