PINEAPPLE OATMEAL COOKIES 
1/2 c. soft butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 can (about 9 oz.) crushed pineapple
1 1/2 c. rolled oats
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Dash nutmeg
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Cream butter; add sugars and beat until light. Add egg and beat well. Add pineapple, oats, sifted dry ingredients and nuts; mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees) about 15 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen.
