LAYERED GREEN PEA SALAD | |
9x13 inch Pyrex dish 1 head lettuce 1 c. sliced water chestnuts 1 very sm. onion, chopped 1 c. diced celery 1 pkg. frozen green peas, uncooked 1 pt. mayonnaise, at room temperature 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese 6 boiled eggs Arrange in layers, chopped lettuce, water chestnuts, onion, celery and green peas. Sprinkle cheese over mixture. Spread mayonnaise over top and seal at sides with mayonnaise. Grate the eggs and spread over this. Cover airtight and refrigerate overnight. Before serving, fry 1/2 pound of bacon until crisp. Crumble and spread over top. |
