MELISSA'S BEEF STEW 
1 lb. beef, cubed
1 cup all-purpose flour
salt and pepper, to taste
1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes (Hunts)
3 large carrots, peeled and diced
3 turnips, cubed
3 potatoes, cubed
1/2 cup vegetable oil
water

In a large Ziploc style bag add flour, a little salt and pepper, and beef cubes. Shake bag until beef is coated with flour.

In a large pot heat oil on medium heat then add beef. Shake any extra flour off. Brown beef in pot.

Once browned fill pot almost to the top with water and add chopped vegetables and can of crushed tomatoes. Let simmer for 1 hour before serving.

Prep time: 25 minutes; Cook time: 1 1/2 hours.
