BESSIE'S BEANS | |
1 lb. string beans, remove strings and stems 2 handfuls of sliced almonds 2 tbsp. butter 5 tbsp. water 5 tbsp. heavy cream Saute almonds in some butter; set aside. Melt the 2 tablespoons of butter on high heat. Add water and the beans. Cover and cook 7 minutes. Stir occasionally. Salt to taste. Add heavy cream. Cook, stirring until liquid is almost gone. Add the sauteed almonds. Mix well. |
