1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 1 c. water
1 c. ground raisins
1/2 c. nut meats

Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour, soda in water, raisins and nuts. Mix a little of the flour with the ground raisins. Helps to blend better with batter. Spread on cookie sheet and bake. Ice with butter cream frosting while warm. Cut in squares.
