CHICKEN PAPRIKAS (HUNGARY) 
1 - 1 1/2 c. chopped onions
Cooking oil
2 tbsp. paprika
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. tomato juice
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 med. chickens, cut up
Instant flour
1/2 c. sour cream (opt.)

Fry onions in cooking oil in a large saucepan; add paprika, water, tomato juice, salt and pepper and chicken. Cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until chicken is tender. Thicken with flour. Add sour cream just before serving.

DUMPLINGS:

2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. cooking oil
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. water

To make dumplings, combine eggs, cooking oil, flour, salt and water; beat until shiny. With a spoon cut off small pieces of dough. Drop into boiling salted water. Cook for 10 minutes. Drain and rinse with clear water. Serve with chicken mixture. Yield: 8 servings.
