HOT WATER CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. baking cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. boiling water

Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. Cream together butter and sugar in bowl until light and fluffy, using electric mixer at medium speed. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in milk and vanilla. Stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Add boiling water and stir until smooth. Pour into two 8-inch greased round cake pans lined with wax paper or 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake in 325 degree oven for 30 minutes or until a wooden pick comes out clean.
