1 1/2 c. hot water
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 egg
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix flour, sugar, and cocoa. Let butter come to room temperature. Then mix flour, sugar, and cocoa into butter. Then add egg. Mix until creamy and add vanilla, salt, baking powder, and soda into a quart jar or another container, then place 1/2 cup of hot water into mix until dissolved. Place 1 cup into cake mixture and add 1/2 cup of hot water mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
