FROSTED APRICOT JEWELS 
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. apricot preserves
Pecan halves

FROSTING:

1 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 tbsp. butter, softened
1/4 c. apricot preserves

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt; cut in butter and cream cheese until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add coconut and preserves, mixing well. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets. bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely on wire rack. Spread each cookie with frosting and top with a pecan half. Makes about 3 dozen.
