KOLBASZ AND POTATOES (KOLBASZ
KRUMPLI)
 
1 1/2 lb. Kolbasz, cut in rings
3-4 med. potatoes, peeled and cut
1 med. onion, chopped up fine
3 tbsp. bacon grease or shortening
3 tbsp. paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Approximately 3 qts. water
Flour to thicken

In a large pot melt the grease not letting it get too hot so when you add the paprika it does not burn and get bitter. Add the paprika to the melted grease and mix the paprika in, add the Kolbasz pieces and onions. Mix this around so the paprika is thoroughly mixed.

Add the water and the potatoes and seasonings and cook until the potatoes are done. If there is liquid left, use the flour to make a thickening and add to the meat and potato mixture.
