POTATO SOUP (KRUMPLI LEVES) 
6 potatoes, peel and chunked
1 med. onion, chopped
2 ribs celery, cut in sm. pieces
2 carrots, cut in sm. pieces
Salt and pepper to taste
4 qts. water

Put potatoes, onions, celery, carrots, salt, and pepper in soup pan with water and put on medium heat and simmer slowly. When potatoes and carrots are cooked, bring to hard boil and add thickening and then turn the heat down and cook until thickened. Serve hot or cold.

THICKENING:

Dissolve 5 tablespoons flour or cornstarch into 1 cup milk. When blended well with no lumps, add 8 ounces of sour cream.
