CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. white sugar
3 c. flour
4 heaping tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
5 eggs
1 c. milk

Cream butter and shortening, adding sugar gradually. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, salt and baking powder with cocoa. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla last. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes at 300 to 350 degrees.
